The Synergistic Circle: Your Chiragon

Let me start with a great piece of advice: In the Business of Politics, you cannot afford to lose your soul.

Navigating the world of politics is a complicated process.  Not realizing the pitfalls could be toxic to those who are just starting. There are no dull routines; every single day, there are new challenges that can either make you or break you.

“Your synergy is the constant interaction of fine-tuned elements properly balanced to create an effect that enables you to succeed no matter what.”

This Synergy applies to every individual in the Business of Politics every day of their life. Understanding that you are going to wake up and go to bed with yourselves every day until you die, you must be able to communicate correctly with your mind and body. Be the master of your destiny.

If you are a staffer and want to achieve success, you must understand that synergy revolves around three synergistic silos:

  1. Your Chiragon (Key-raw-gon) Why you do what you do which guides your spirit

  2. An Inherent Holarchy of Need: Creating, balancing, and enhancing your needs with the needs of others

  3. Your brand. Credibility, perceptions, and constant evolution

Each one of these silos is of equal importance. If you neglect any one of these, you will not achieve your desired result.

Let’s discuss your Chiragon.

Why You Do What You Do that Guides Your Spirit

You have to Gain respect for yourself.

The Chinese believe your Chi (key) is a life force that makes a human being alive. It is recognized by most of the ancient cultures in the world. This type of energy that surrounds you externally can only be controlled by your mind and will affect others whether you like it or not.

Have you ever been told, “Wow! Your presence lights up the whole room,” and felt good about yourself? Well, if you have, that means you are in sync with your inner self and generating a positive Chi strong enough for others to notice. If you haven’t heard things like that, it seems that you might not be all pumped about life, and with that attitude, you will typically achieve little.

Feeling positively charged will help you communicate positive messages, which will create positive outcomes. Simple as that! Being excited about who you are, what you want, and where you are going makes all the difference in the world. You must remember that having a positive Chi will attract great things for you.

In the world of martial arts, a Tiger is a young practitioner that is intrigued by the physical surroundings and external forces. A Tiger’s emotions are a roller coaster of highs and lows, and they do not understand the path they are traveling and care less about reaching a destination.

On the other hand, a Dragon is a spiritual master of his or her surroundings and stays focused on the crucial things. Dragons command their surroundings and patiently outwit their adversary without expending much physical energy.  Even though Dragons and Tigers are both physically strong, wisdom makes the Dragon mentally strong, and that will always outwit physical strength.

As a young staffer, you should always strive to become a dragon. Why? Because the Dragon is a being who defeats his adversary without lying or cheating. Politics is an intoxicating art in which usually young staffers are easily manipulated and distracted.  Experience will make you realize you must listen carefully to your inner Dragon and do what is ethically right along the way.

From these two concepts, I created the Chiragon: A life force that moves your spirit.

To succeed, you must find your Chiragon, which will help you stay grounded through your focused inner energy.

Once you understand your Chiragon you will be on your way to always be a positive part of a solution.
